The “Nest” build explores numerous green/natural building techniques such as; Rammed earth construction, straw-bale, timber framing, structural insulated panels, Passive solar design, earthen floors, and more. All materials were sourced as locally and sustainably as possible. The timbers were selectively harvested with gratitude from within a 100km range and milled on-site. This build was completely performed by myriad members and volunteers.
